![]() ![]() I honestly recommend every teenager, regardless of whether you are a girl or boy, read this chilling story of love and anger. Despite only finishing it a day or two ago, I am already half way into the sequel, Girl of Nightmares. I cannot express how amazing this book is! It is definitely on my favourite books list. I admired the way that the events in Anna Dressed in Blood linked together in some way at the end of the story, and everything started clicking into place. Every character was vivid and unique, and brought something different and intelligent to the plot. The story also featured Thomas, a scruffy looking boy with hidden knowledge up his sleeve, and Carmel, popular home-coming queen, but who isn't as shallow as she might seem. ![]() ![]() By the end of the book I felt like I had gotten to know Cas quite well. Sometimes he could get quite emotional, but every time his wit saved him from creating a 'cringeworthy' situation. One of NPRs Top 5 Young Adult Novels of 2011. Cas narrates with a dark humour, which absolutely intrigued me and lightened up quite a few terrifying situations. Kendare Blakes Anna Dressed in Blood is a 2011 Kirkus Best Teen Books of the Year title. ![]()
